WealthPlanner

For advisory firms

Is my advisory firm listed on WealthPlanner?

Short answer

WealthPlanner's advisor directory is not open yet. When it opens, it will list investment advisory firms that serve individual clients and whose most recent Form ADV supports a fee-only label, using facts from SEC Form ADV and IAPD public records. Firms whose filings do not support that label are not published.

How a firm gets listed

Profiles are built from public filings and updated when WealthPlanner refreshes that data. No firm applies or pays to be included. Each unclaimed profile carries this notice: "Data from SEC Form ADV / IAPD public records, as of [date]. Unclaimed and unverified by WealthPlanner."

Why a firm might not appear

  • Its most recent Form ADV reports commission compensation, a broker-dealer or insurance sales capacity, or product-selling affiliates.
  • Its filing does not give enough information to classify it as fee-only.
  • It does not report individual (retail) clients.
  • The firm asked for its profile to be removed.
